KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- Pittsburg State University junior righthander Bradyn McClure was named the MIAA Pitcher of the Week Monday (Apr. 13).

McClure limited Northeastern State University to three hits over 7.0 innings of work as the Gorillas blanked the RiverHawks, 9-0, last Thursday (Apr. 9) at Tahlequah, Okla. The Wichita native issued two walks and registered a season-high 11 strikeouts while combining on a five-hit shutout with reliever Ricardo Hernandez in the contest.

The outing marked just McClure's second start of the season among his 10 pitching appearances. He improved to 4-0 on the year with a 3.27 ERA and four saves.
