INDIANAPOLIS - The Pittsburg State University baseball team debuted at No. 1 in the first set of NCAA Division II Central Region Rankings released Wednesday (Apr. 29).

Pittsburg State (38-8) is joined by MIAA foes Rogers State (37-10) at No. 2, Central Missouri (33-12) at No. 3, Northwest Missouri (34-13) at No. 5, Missouri Southern (31-15) at No. 9 and Emporia State (32-15) at No. 10. Three members of the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference (NSIC) are ranked:  No. 4 Minnesota State (34-10), No. 6 University of Mary (30-15) and No. 7 Augustana (33-12). Arkansas - Monticello (31-16) is the lone representative from the Great American Conference (GAC) at No. 8.

Following conference postseason tournament action, the top eight teams in the Central Region will qualify for the 2026 NCAA Division II National Tournament, May 14-17, on campus sites.
