PITTSBURG - The Pittsburg State University softball team debuted at No. 1 in the first set of NCAA Division II Central Regional Rankings released on Wednesday (Apr. 29).
Pittsburg State (45-6, 17-5 MIAA), ranked No. 4 in the latest NFCA Division II Top 25 Poll (Apr. 28) are joined by Missouri Southern (43-7), Central Oklahoma (39-12), Rogers State (30-16), Central Missouri (33-15) and Emporia State (26-15) as MIAA schools listed in the top 10 in the region. Southern Arkansas (42-5) and Arkansas Tech (36-12) from the Great American Conference (GAC), and Winona State (41-8) and St. Cloud State (40-12) from the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference (NSIC) roud out the rankings.Â
Following the completion of the three conference postseason tournaments, the top eight teams in the Central Region will be announced and progress to the 2026 NCAA Divisoin II National Tournament.
