NEW YORK, N.Y. - Pittsburg State University seniors Jack Haukap and Blakelee Winn are set to compete at the USA Track & Field Outdoor Championships this weekend at Ichan Stadium in New York, N.Y.

Haukap, a two-time hammer throw All-American from Garden Plain, Kan., is set to compete in the event with 15 other individuals. The Pittsburg State University record holder for the indoor weight throw (20.69m) and outdoor hammer (71.13m), both set during the 2025-26 school year. His 71.13m mark in the hammer was the farthest throw this outdoor season in Division II and ranks eighth in DII history. Haukap is set to begin the hammer throw event at approximately 7:05 p.m. (CT) on Thursday (July 23).

Winn, a three-time Academic All-American and a finalist for the Division II Honda Female Athlete of the Year award for track & field, is set to compete in the Heptathlon against 15 other individuals. Her personal best tally of 5,898 points in the event helped her claim All-American honors in May to round out her 12 All-American distinctions over her illustrious career that included being the DII National Champion in the heptathlon in 2025 and in the outdoor long jump in 2026. The Pea Ridge, Ark., native was named the 2026 DII National Outdoor Women's Field Athlete of the Year by the United States Track & Field and Cross Country Association (USTFCCCA). Winn is set to begin the heptathlon at 12:13 p.m. (CT) on Thursday (July 23) with the 100m hurdles, finishing the seven-discipline event with the 800m run at approximately 5:03 p.m. (CT) on Friday (July 24).
