AUSTIN, Texas - Three members of the Pittsburg State University men's cross country/track & field squad garnered College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-America accolades today (July 14).

Braylon Thompson were selected to the first-team Academic All-America squad, while redshirt junior distance runner
Nathan Hinrichs was tabbed to the second-team Academic All-America list.
Hinrichs, a New Bloomfield, Mo., native, owns a 4.00 GPA as an electronics engineering technology major. An All-Region and All-MIAA performer in 2025 on the cross country course, Hinrichs becomes a first-time CSC Academic All-America pick.
Sprecker, a Gypsum, Kan., native, carries a 3.90 GPA as an exercise science major. Also an Academic All-America honoree in 2025, the eight-time All-American performer was a finalist for the 2025-26 MIAA Ken B. Jones Award. The 2026 NCAA Division II national champion in the Indoor mile and a member of the distance medley relay team, Sprecker has been named an MIAA Scholar Athlete six times as a Gorilla and has been listed on the MIAA Academic Honor Roll every school year in his collegiate career.
Thompson has a perfect 4.00 GPA as a marketing major.The Tulsa, Okla., native claimed All-America honors as a sophomore in 2025. On the track, he has secured All-America honors in the indoor 200 meters and the 4x100m relay in 2026.
