PITTSBURG - The Pittsburg State University volleyball team suffered their first loss of the season on Thursday (Sept. 3) against Southwestern Oklahoma State University at John Lance Arena.
SWOSU (4-3) claimed the match with set scores of 25-17, 25-22, 29-27.
Pittsburg State (5-1) got a team-high 13.0 points from
Maddi LaPointe, with the Tulsa, Okla., native finishing with 12 kills in 29 attempts for a .310 hitting percentage.
Jesa Wallace finished with a team-high 21 assists while
Kassidy Nixon collected a team-high nine digs.
To end the tournament, Pittsburg State will play against Arkansas Tech at 2:00 p.m. (CT) and end the weekend at 7:00 p.m. against William Jewell at John Lance Arena Friday (Sept. 4).
