Pittsburg State University Athletics

General: Second-year player… a talented cornerback who redshirted in 2011 after transferring to Pitt State from MIAA rival NW Missouri State… made the most of his transfer redshirt season and exited spring drills battling for a starting role for the Gorillas.

In 2011: Redshirt season.

At NWMSU: Spent one season at NW Missouri State… competed in 14 games for the Bearcats, making 21 tackles (13 solo), six pass breakups and one blocked kick.

In Junior College: Played two seasons at Diablo Valley College… recorded an interception and five pass breakups as a sophomore in 2009.

In High School: A first-team All-League and All-County selection as a senior at De La Salle High School in 2007… helped the Spartans to a 13-0 record and a state championship that year.

Personal: Born March 3, 1990… son of Graylon and Deborah Sanders… a physical education major.
