Pittsburg State Gorillas

General: Fifth-year player… a talented All-MIAA caliber center who is primed for a big senior season… an intelligent player and team leader… expected to be a key contributor for the Gorillas up front again this fall… voted a PSU team captain by his peers for a second season.

In 2011: Started in eight of 10 games played… missed four games due to injury… selected PSU’s Offensive Lineman of the Week three times by the Gorillas coaching staff.

In 2010: Saw action in all 12 games, including three starts for the Gorillas.

In 2008-09: Saw action in four games in a reserve role in 2009, after redshirting his first year in the Pitt State program (2008).

In High School: A first-team Kansas Class 6A All-State selection as a senior at Olathe South High in 2007… also a first-team All-Metro and first-team All-Sunflower League pick his senior year… helped the Falcons to an 9-4 record and the Class 6A runner-up finish in 2007… a 2008 Kansas Shrine Bowl participant.

Personal: Born July 31, 1989… son of Mike and Cindy Kolich… a four-year member of the MIAA Academic Honor Roll… also an Academic All-District selection in both 2010 and 2011… has a 3.53 GPA as a management major.
