PITTSBURG, Kan. -- Due to wet field conditions in Springifield, PIttsburg State's softball games versus Drury have been moved from Tuesday (March 11) to Wednesday (March 12). The game times will stand at 3 p.m. and 5 p.m.

The Drury Panthers are 10-4 overall and 1-1 in GLVC conference play. The Panthers have earned win over PSU's MIAA conference foes Wahsburn (7-1), Northeastern State (5-2), Missouri Southern (4-3) and Southwest Baptist (1-0 and 14-0).

The team hit .293 and has scored 60 runs on the season with 51 RBI. Stacy Razo leads the team with a .455 batting average. The pitching staff has compiles a 3.17 ERA with 41 earned runs in 90.2 innings pitched. Monica Villarreal is the top pitcher with a 2.37 ERA and a 7-2 record with two saves. In 65 innings of work she has struck out 34 batters and walked 17. 

The Gorillas are 8-4 on the year after winning each of their last four games, including a 2-1 win over Missouri Western, a team receiving votes in the NFCA poll. Pitt State has a .314 team batting average, a .961 fielding percentage and a 2.28 team ERA. The team has 112 hits in 357 at bats with 72 runs scored and 62 RBI. The pitchers have thrown 80.0 innings on the season, giving up 26 earned runs. They have struck out 61 batters and walked 35, while holding opponents to a .250 batting average.

Tiffany Brown (.442) and Cheslyn Mitchell (.436) are both hitting over .400 for the season, leading a group of five Gorillas hitting over .300 for the season. Brown leads the team in hits (!9) and home runs (4), while Mitchell leads the team in RBI (14) and doubles (6). Katelyn Birchfield and Brenna George share the team lead in runs scored with 11. 

Four of the five Pitt State pitchers have made four or more appearances on the season. Haleigh Sills has the team low ERA at 1.42. She has thrown 19 innings and given up only four earned runs. She has a 3-1 record. Kyndel Shleburn is 3-0 on the year and has a 2.47 ERA. She has pitched a team-high 28.1 innings. She leads the team in strikeouts with 34.
