Pittsburg State will close out regular season play this weekend as they take on No. 14 Washburn on Friday and Emporia State on Saturday. The first serves will be at 7 p.m. Friday and 6 p.m. Saturday at John Lance Arena.

The Gorillas post a 2-25 record after picking up their second win of the season against Missouri Southern last Saturday, 3-0.

Maggie Highberger averages 2.02 kills per set, while Taylor Unke hits a .224 clip. The Gorillas' setting duo, seniors Hayley Hansford and Taylyn Schwartz, each average over 4.50 assists per set to pace the Gorillas. Unke is the team's top blocker with 58 total blocks on the season. Following closely behind her is Lana DaSilva with 54 total blocks.

Emporia State enters the weekend with a 10-16 record. The Hornets fell to No. 13 Central Missouri at home last Friday, but came back the next day and topped Lindenwood in five sets. As a team, Emporia State leads the MIAA in blocks at a pace of 22.84 bps.

Josie Williams leads the Hornet attack with 2.45 kps. Shayla Cotman is the conference runner-up in blocks, putting up 1.08 bps, and Danika Burton's 1.00 bps lands her fourth in the conference. The Hornets exercise a two-setter system, consisting of Kimberly Bell and Sydney Hartman, who each average 4.73 aps. Emma Benton and Hartman have both aced 17 serves this season, respectively.

Washburn will travel to Pittsburg riding a 26-3 overall record. The Ichabods swept Lindenwood in three sets, but fell to No. 13 Central Missouri in three sets at home this past weekend.

Leanna Willer averages 4.07 kps for the Ichabods, the second highest average in the MIAA. Sarah Vicory's .355 clip is also second best in the conference, but leads the conference at the net with 113 total blocks. Washburn's lone setter, senior Liz Powell, dishes out 9.19 aps. Alyssa Carney digs 5.25 attacks per set and adds a team-high 21 service aces.
