Lions Sweep Twinbill From Gorillas

Box Score 1 | Box Score 2 PITTSBURG — The Lindenwood University softball team swept an MIAA doubleheader from Pittsburg State University Saturday (Apr. 14) at the PSU Softball Complex. The Lions defeated the Gorillas, 16-8 and 17-10.

Pitt State dropped to 18-29 overall and 8-10 in MIAA play, while Lindenwood improved to 21-19 overall and 9-11 in conference action.

Brittanee Knepper led the Gorillas in game one, going 2-for-3 with two singles and three RBI's. Emily Clark also went 2-for-3 with two runs scored.

In the nightcap, the Lions scored twelve runs in the sixth inning to take the lead from the Gorillas. 

Pitt State will host Lincoln for another doubleheader Sunday (Apr. 15). The first pitch is set for 1:00 p.m.
