ST. CHARLES, Mo. --The Lindenwood University softball team swept an MIAA doubleheader from Pittsburg State University Friday (Apr. 5) at the Lou Brock Sports Complex. The Lions defeated the Gorillas, 3-0 and 4-1.

Pitt State dropped to 16-21 overall and 4-8 in MIAA play, while Lindenwood improved to 19-13 overall and 8-10 in conference action.

Kala Holder led the Gorillas in game one, going 2-for-4 with two singles and a walk.

In the nightcap, the Lions limited Pitt State to four hits. Madison Wegner led the Gorillas going 2-for-3.
