PITTSBURG — The Pittsburg State University volleyball team will return to John Lance Arena/Whetzel Court Saturday (Oct. 30) for an MIAA match against the University of Central Missouri. First serve is set for 6 p.m.
The Gorillas are 13-10 overall and 7-8 in MIAA play heading into the match. Pitt State scored a 3-0 victory over Newman University Tuesday (Oct. 26) at Wichita, Kan.
The Jennies are 20-2 overall, 13-1 in the MIAA and ranked No. 2 in the latest AVCA NCAA Division II Top 25 poll.
Pitt State and UCM met at Warrensburg, Mo., on Sept. 30 with the Gorillas dropping a 3-1 decision to the Jennies (25-18, 22-25, 27-25, 25-14).
The Gorillas junior setter Brianna Richard enters Saturday's match ranked fourth in the MIAA in assists (825), while senior outside hitter Meg Auten ranks fourth in the league in kills (284).
