WICHITA, Kan. — The Pittsburg State University volleyball team defeated Newman University in straight sets Friday (Mar. 12) at Fugate Gym. The Gorillas defeated the Jets 25-17, 25-18, 25-19.

The victory helped Pitt State improve to 2-5 overall and 2-3 in MIAA South Division games this spring.

The Gorillas will return to action next Thursday (Mar. 18) when Pitt State plays host to Missouri Southern State University at 6 p.m. (CDT) at John Lance Arena/Whetzel Court.
