PITTSBURG – The Pittsburg State University volleyball team will entertain Emporia State for a non-conference matchup, Saturday (Apr. 10). The regular season finale is set for 2 p.m. (CDT) inside John Lance Arena.
The Gorillas enter the matchup with the Lady Hornets, 4-9 and 3-5 in the MIAA South Division. Pitt State is currently in fourth place in the South Division, followed by the Lady Hornets. The last outing for the Gorillas resulted in a 3-1 loss to the Jennies of Central Missouri.
The Lady Hornets enter the matchup 2-10 and 2-5 in the MIAA South Division. Emporia State will travel to Joplin, Mo. for a matchup with the Lady Lions before traveling to Pittsburg.
The match with the Lady Hornets will mark Senior Night for the Gorillas. The Gorillas will honor two seniors, Morgan Henning and Emily Regier. Both Henning and Regier were seniors in 2020 but due to the COVID-19 pandemic were unable to play. The duo will be honored before the match.
