PITTSBURG – The Pittsburg State University softball team will head down to Bentonville, Ark. to take part in the Alvy Early Memorial Classic starting Friday (Feb. 10).

The Gorillas are set to play five games over the weekend starting against William Jewell College on Friday (Feb. 10) at 3 p.m. Pitt State will turn around the next day for a doubleheader first against Quincy University at 11 a.m. Game two of the doubleheader the Gorillas will take on Maryville University.

The Gorillas will round out the weekend with another doubleheader this time against Wayne State (Neb.) and Harding University starting at 11 p.m.

- The Gorillas opened 2022 play with doubleheader wins over Southwest Baptist University on Wednesday (Feb. 9).
- Pitt State put up 21 runs in 12 innings against the Bearcats.
