ARKADELPHA, Ark. — Karenna Gerber and Grace Pyle scored 15 points apiece to help lead the Pittsburg State University women's basketball team to an 86-60 victory over Ouachita Baptist University Tuesday (Nov. 21).
Gerber posted a double-double with 15 points and a game-high 11 rebounds. She made six of eight shots from the floor and blocked three shots in the contest.
Sydney Holmes (12), Harper Schreiner (10) and Macie Mays (10) also scored in double figures for the Gorillas, who improved to 4-0 on the season.
Pitt State shot 50.0 percent from the floor in the contest, making 31 of 62 attempts. The Gorillas also made 19 of 23 free throws against the Tigers (2-1).
OBU's Laney Mears led all scorers with 16 points.
Pitt State will remain in Arkadelphia to battle Henderson State University Wednesday (Nov. 22) at 2 p.m. (CST).
