PITTSBURG – The Pittsburg State University women's soccer team will travel to the Show Me State for a pair of MIAA matchups against Missouri Western and Northwest Missouri.
The Gorillas will begin the weekend against the Griffons Friday (Oct. 25) at Spratt Stadium with a 7:00 p.m. (CDT) slated kickoff. On Sunday (Oct, 27), Pitt State will battle against the Bearcats at the Bearcat Pitch beginning at 1 p.m.
Pitt State has compiled a 6-5-2 overall record (2-3-2 MIAA) through 13 matches this season. The Gorillas currently stand in ninth place in the conference standings. Last week, the Gorillas claimed a 3-0 home win over Newman in their only action. Pitt State has won two of its last three matches overall.

Jocelyn Kramar (Fort Collins, Colo.) has a 1.39 goals against average (GAA) with 43 saves in 908 minutes stationed between the sticks. Freshmen goalkeeper

Macy Clements (Springville, Utah) is yet to allow a goal and has recorded two saves in 65 minutes of game action.
Missouri Western is 12-0-2 overall (7-0-1 MIAA) on the season. The Griffons, who currently sit atop the MIAA standings, are ranked No. 20 in the latest United Soccer Coaches NCAA Division II poll released Oct. 22. MWSU has not allowed a goal in the last 548:18 of action and during that time the Griffs have scored 12 goals. This season, the Griffons have claimed seven of the 23 athlete of the week honors, including having the defender of the week in each of the first six weeks of the season.
Offensively, MWSU is led by defender Lauren Nylund who has been the MIAA Defender of the week for three times this season and leads the team with five goals (4-of-5 from penalty kicks) with 1249 minutes played this season. Camrin Peaslee leads the team with four goals from open play and has one assist to her name with all 14 appearances this season coming as a substitute. Aidyn Woodall and Kendall Knisley are tied atop the team leaderboards with four assists each with both also scoring three times this season. In goal Keeley Kroonenberg has a 0.43 GAA, 31 saves while logging 1054 minutes and has not allowed a goal in her last 627:19 minutes of action.
Northwest Missouri is 6-2-6 overall and 4-1-3 in MIAA play to date. The Bearcats are fourth in the MIAA standings heading into the weekend action. This season at the Bearcat Pitch NWMSU is 2-0-3 with draws against No. 2 Grand Valley State (Sept. 13), No. 15 Minnesota State – Mankato (Sept. 15) and No. 5 Central Missouri (Oct. 11).
Leading the charge offensively has been Ekaterina Theoharidis with seven goals and three assists. Ximena Arnau is second on the team with five goals with two being game winning efforts. Makenna West leads the team with four assists and has contributed two goals. Lily Ellis leads the conference in saves (93) and saves per game (7.15) with a 1.08 GAA from 1170 minutes of action while being named MIAA Goalkeeper of the week twice this season.
