PITTSBURG – The Pittsburg State University women's soccer team will wrap up its regular season schedule Wednesday (Nov. 6) by hosting MIAA rival Missouri Southern State University.
The Gorillas and Lions will face off at 2 p.m. (CDT) at the Gorilla Soccer Pitch.
Pitt State has compiled a 7-8-2 overall record (3-6-2 MIAA) heading into the regular season finale. The Gorillas are currently 10
th in the conference standings and need a victory over the Lions (2-11-4, 1-8-2 MIAA) to have a chance to qualify for the eight-team MIAA Postseason Tournament.
Pitt State dropped a pair of tightly contested home matches last week, falling 1-0 to Central Oklahoma on Nov. 1 and 2-1 to Central Missouri last Sunday (Nov. 3).
In addition to a victory over the Lions, the Gorillas need Nebraska-Kearney to lose or tie in its regular season finale against Fort Hays State Wednesday. Pitt State also needs an Emporia State loss against Washburn Wednesday.

Jocelyn Kramar (Fort Collins, Colo.) has a 1.16 goals against average (GAA) with 66 saves in 1164 minutes stationed between the sticks. Freshmen goalkeeper
Sabrina Schilt (Plano, Texas) has a 1.76 GAA with eight saves to her name in 255 minutes on the field thus far. Junior
Macy Clements (Springville, Utah) has a 0.81 GAA and rerecorded six saves in 111 minutes of game action.
Missouri Southern (2-11-4 overall, 1-8-2 MIAA) currently sits in 12
th place in the MIAA standings. The Lions are 0-5-1 on the road this season.
MSSU is led offensively by Nathalia Luiz with three goals and three assists. Presley Whitmire and Preslee Zeigler are tied for second on the team with two goals each.
In goal, Bella Smith has a 2.24 GAA with 109 saves in 1485 minutes between the sticks while claiming four shutouts.
