Softball Ranked No. 14 in Final NFCA Division II Poll for 2024

LOUISVILLE, Ky. — The Pittsburg State University softball team finished the 2024 campaign ranked No. 14 in the final NCAA Division II Top 25 poll released by the National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) Tuesday (May 28).
 
The Gorillas enjoyed a record setting season under third-year head coach Jenny Fuller, posting a school record 53 wins en route to a 53-8 overall record and a berth in the NCAA Division II National Tournament. Pitt State shared the MIAA regular season crown, the program's first MIAA title since 1994, and reached the championship game of the MIAA Postseason Championships.
 
As a team, the Gorillas broke 10 records in 2024: victories (53), winning percentage (.869, 53-8), consecutive wins (22, Feb. 14 – Mar. 22, 2024), conference wins (23), home wins (26), home winning streak (26, Apr. 22, 2023 – May 10, 2024), strikeouts (399), runs scored (394), runs batted in (346) and stolen bases (104).
