PITTSBURG – The Pittsburg State University women's soccer team will return to the Gorilla Soccer Pitch to play its inaugural MIAA matches this weekend.
The Gorillas will entertain Nebraska-Kearney at 3 p.m. (CDT) Friday (Sept. 27) and wrap up the weekend action with a 1 p.m. match against Fort Hays State.
Pitt State has compiled a 4-2-0 record through six matches this season. The Gorilla most recently split a pair of road contests last week, falling to Southern Nazarene last Thursday (Sept. 19) before bouncing back against Southwestern Oklahoma Saturday (Sept.21).
Coach
Wes Branstetter's squad has been spearheaded by graduate forward
McKenna Robinson (Connoquenessing, Pa.). Robinson, who currently leads NCAA Division II in assists, has tallied five assists as well as one goal thus far this season.

Freshman goalkeeper
Jocelyn Kramar (Fort Collins, Colo.) has a 0.86 goals against average (GAA) with 14 saves in 315 minutes stationed between the sticks. Freshmen goalkeeper
Sabrina Schilt (Plano, Texas) has a 1.50 GAA with four saves to her name in 180 minutes on the field thus far. Junior
Macy Clements (Springville, Utah) is yet to allow a goal and has recorded two saves in 45 minutes of game action.
UNK is 4-0-2 following its non-conference slate. The Lopers picked up a 3-1 win over Western Colorado and recorded a 2-2 draw against Black Hills State last week.
Offensively, the Lopers are led by Hanna Schimmer with three goals scored, while Gracie Perez, Daniella Laquinta and Jordan Renard have all scored two goals. Susie Bovaird leads the team in goal with a 0.69 GAA, 21 saves and three total shutouts.
FHSU is off to a 3-1-2 start to the season through six matches heading into a Friday match-up against Missouri Southern. The Tigers posted a pair of road wins over Southwestern Oklahoma (2-0) and Northwestern Oklahoma (1-0) last week.
FHSU is led by Britney Arneson (two goals) and Gracen Chaney (two assists, one goal) with four points. In goal, Mackenzie Caldwell has a 0.67 GAA from 540 minutes with 36 saves and three shutouts.
