GREENWOOD, Ind. - Members of the Pittsburg State University golf teams were announced as College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District.
For the women:
Genevieve Akers,
Kylee Hopper and
Kymbree Larance were named Academic All-District with
Tyler Hardtarfer and
Cooper Forth named for the men.
Akers, a Galt, Calif., native finished the 2025-26 school year with a 3.51Â cumulative GPA as an accounting major. In nine tournaments, Akers averaged 79.7 per round with four top 40 finishes on the season.
Forth, a Webb City, Mo., native finished the 2025-26 school year with a 3.91 cumulative GPA as a recreation services, sport and hospitality management major. In eight tournaments, averaged 77.9 per round and finished two rounds at even.
Hardtarfer, a Goddard, Kan., native finished the 2025-26 school year with a 3.66 cumulative GPA as a finance major. Finished with a trio of top 10 finishes and five top 20 finishes from 12 tournaments while averaging 74.8 per round. Recorded 12 rounds at either under or on par while achieving a hole in one and an albatross during the season.
Hooper, a Springfield, Mo., native finished the 2025-26 school year with a 3.81 cummulative GPA as a management major. In six tournaments for the Gorillas, Hopper finished in the top 40 in four tournaments while averaging 80.1 per round and was named All-MIAA.
Larance, a Crawford, Texas native finished the 2025-26 school year with a 3.91 cummulative GPA as a finance major. Competed in all 11 tournaments for the Gorilas, Larance finished with a 81.6 average round score and placed in the top 40 twice.
