WARRENSBURG, Mo. -- Pittsburg State University junior thrower
Jack Haukap led the Pittsburg State University outdoor track & field contingent at the 2025 University of Central Missouri Mule Relays Friday (Apr. 11).
Haukap unleashed the top throw in NCAA Division II this season in the men's hammer, winning the discipline with a personal-best toss of 220 feet, 2 inches. His mark lands at No. 2 all-time in Pitt State history.
Junior
Abby Lasiter also posted a personal-best in the women's hammer throw. She placed third overall with a best mark of 187-6.
In other notable action, freshman
Lorna Rae Pierce placed second in the women's 5,000 meters in 17 minutes, 11.31 seconds. Redshirt sophomore
Nathan Hinrichs finished fourth in the men's steeplechase (9:30.52) and redshirt junior
Travis Sickles placed seventh in the men's 5,000 meters (14:40.16).
Another contingent of Pitt State athletes will compete in the University of Arkansas Razorback Invitational Saturday at Fayetteville, Ark.
