GREENSBORO, N.C. - Pittsburg State University senior shortstop Rickey Sanchez was named to the 2025 American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA) NCAA Division II Central Region All-Defensive team as announced by the organization earlier today (June 19).

Sanchez in his lone season with the Gorillas finished with 135 assists and 65 putouts to four errors for a .980 fielding percentage, while also helping turn 26 double plays. A third-team All-MIAA selection in 2025, Sachez lead the team with 78 hits and 20 doubles to go with his .386 batting average, seven home runs and 49 runs driven in.
