PITTSBURG – The Pittsburg State University women's soccer team is set to begin its preseason Wednesday (Aug. 13).
 
The Gorillas will conduct their first practice at 9:30 a.m. at the Gorilla Soccer Pitch.
 
Second-year head coach Wes Branstetter will have a 37-member roster this season, comprised of 18 returners from the inaugural season of the program and 19 newcomers. Headlining the returners are All-MIAA performers; Sailor Jensen, Avianna Gonzalez and Jadyn Newell.
 
Pitt State is scheduled to begin the season on the road against Missouri - St. Louis, Thursday (Sept. 4) at 6:00 p.m. at the Don Dallas Soccer Field.
