PITTSBURG - The Pittsburg State University women's volleyball team completed the first weekend of MIAA action with a three-set loss to the No. 2 University of Central Oklahoma Bronchos on Saturday (Sept. 27) at John Lance Arena/Whetzel Court.
UCO (16-0, 2-0 MIAA) claimed set scores of 25-19, 25-15, 25-22.
Pittsburg State (7-5, 1-1 MIAA) was led by
Vix Vilott with nine kills,
Maliyah Johnson was second on the team with seven kills.
Jesa Wallace (16) and
Abby Carr (10) split setting duties with
Josie McCroskey claiming a team-high 17 digs.
Anna Dean led the team with five total blocks.
Up next for the Gorillas will be the Washburn University Ichabods on Thursday (Oct. 2) at 6:00 p.m. (CT) at John Lance Arena/Whetzel Court.
