PITTSBURG — The Pittsburg State University men's and women's indoor track & field teams will travel to Fayetteville, Ark., to compete at the University of Arkansas Qualifier Friday (Feb. 20).
Field events begin at 12:30 p.m. (CST) at the Randal Tyson Indoor Track. The meet wraps up around 8 p.m.
The Arkansas Qualifier will serve as the final tune-up for the Gorillas before the 2026 MIAA Indoor Championships, which will take place Feb. 27 – Mar. 1 at the Robert W. Plaster Center in Pittsburg.
The Pitt State men, the three-time defending NCAA Division II Indoor National Champions, held at No. 3 in this week's USTFCCCA Track & Field Ranking Index (TFRI). The Gorillas have one national leader –
Ilias Garcia (60m, 6.67) – five national top five marks and 12 national top 10 marks to date.

The Pitt State women, the 2025 NCAA-II Indoor National Champion, also held fast to their No. 1 in this week's ratings index. The Gorillas have been ranked No. 1 in all four polls this season. Pitt State has a pair of No. 2 ranked athletes –
Isabelle Peters (pole vault, 13-11.25) and
Rachel Wilson (high jump, 5-10.5) - nine national top five marks and 15 national top 10 marks on the season.
