KANSAS CITY, Mo. — The bracket for the 2026 MIAA Basketball Championships has been released and the Pittsburg State University women's basketball team is preparing to take part in the action at Municipal Auditorium in Kansas City, Mo.
Pitt State earned the No. 6 seed in the tournament and the Gorillas will meet No. 3 seed Washburn University at 2:15 (CST) Friday (Mar. 6) in quarterfinal action. The winner of that game will advance to the tournament semifinals Saturday (Mar. 7) at Noon. For the full women's tournament bracket,Â

The Gorillas (18-10, 11-8 MIAA) and Ichabods (21-7, 14-5 MIAA) met on Feb. 25 at Topeka with Washburn posting a 71-56 win over Pitt State.
Gorilla fans can purchase tickets at the Pitt State Ticket Office or by calling (620) 235-4796. Advance tickets for all-session passes for all 18 men's and women's games to be played at Kansas City are $60. The price increases to $85 if purchased in Kansas City or through ticketmaster.com. Single session tickets also are available for $25 for adults and $10 for PSU students with a valid ID.
