AUSTIN, Texas - Nine members of the Pittsburg State University cross country/track & field squads - five women and four men were named to the College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District squad.
Selected to the men's cross country/track & field All-District team were: redshirt junior

Dylan Sprecker, redshirt sophomore
Drake Stapleton and junior
Braylon Thompson. All four advanced to the Academic All-American ballot.
For the women's cross country/track & field All-District team: senior

Abby Lasiter, senior
Makayla Pavelka, redshirt senior
Isabelle Peters and redshirt senior
Blakelee Winn were recipients. Abdouch, Lasiter, Peters and Winn advance to the Academic All-American ballot.
Academic All-Americans will be announced on Tuesday (July 14) for the men and Wednesday (July 15) for the women.
Abdouch, a Holt, Mich., native with a 3.85 cumulative grade-point-average as a psychology major at the conclusion of the 2025-26 school year in her first season with the Gorillas. Part of the 4x100 (Outdoor) and 4x400m relay teams (Indoor and Outdoor) that claimed All-American honors.
Hinrichs, a New Bloomfield, Mo., native, owns a 4.00 GPA as an electronics engineering technology major. An All-Region and All-MIAA performer in 2025 on the cross country course, Hinrichs is seeking the first Academic All-American nod in his collegiate career.
Lasiter, a Tulsa, Okla., native, has a 3.70 GPA as an exercise science major. A 2024 Outdoor All-American in the hammer throw and 2023 Outdoor All-MIAA performer in the event, Lasiter is looking to be named an Academic All-American for the first time in her collegiate career.
Pavelka, a West, Texas native, owns a 3.77 GPA as an electronics engineering technology major. A four-time All-MIAA performer as a horizontal jumper (2025 outdoor long jump, 2025 outdoor triple jump, 2026 indoor and outdoor triple jump), Pavelka has been named an MIAA Scholar Athlete twice in her collegiate career and has been on the MIAA Academic Honor Roll all four years at PSU.
Peters, a Lindsborg, Kan., native with a 4.00 GPA while pursuing a master's in educational leadership was named an Academic All-American in 2025. The 2026 Indoor national champion in the pole vault and six-time All-American in the event, Peters was a finalist for the 2025-26 MIAA Ken B. Jones Award.
Sprecker, a Gypsum, Kan., native, owns a 3.90 GPA as an exercise science major. Named an Academic All-American in 2025, the eight-time All-American performer was a finalist for the 2025-26 MIAA Ken B. Jones Award. The 2026 NCAA Division II national champion in the Indoor mile and a member of the distance medley relay team, Sprecker has been named an MIAA Scholar Athlete six times as a Gorilla and has been listed on the MIAA Academic Honor Roll every school year in his collegiate career.
Stapleton, a Caney, Kan., native, has a 3.57 GPA as a biology major. An All-American in the outdoor shot put who was also named All-MIAA in the indoor and outdoor shot put and for the outdoor discus throw in 2026. Stapleton is in pursuit of his first time being honored as an Academic All-American.
Thompson, a Tulsa, Okla., native, has a perfect 4.00 GPA as a marketing major. Named an Academic All-American in 2025, claimed All-American honors in 2026 for the indoor 200m dash and as a part of the outdoor 4x100m relay team.
Winn, a Pea Ridge, Ark., native with a 4.00 GPA while pursuing a master's in health, human performance and recreation (HHPR), has been named an Academic All-American the past two school years and is a finalist for the Division II Honda Athlete of the Year award for track & field. The 2026 USTFCCCA DII National Outdoor Women's Field Athlete of the Year honoree, Winn is a 12-time All-American in multiple events, including being the 2026 national champion in the Outdoor long jump and 2025 Outdoor heptathlon, finishing as the NCAA Division II national runner up in the heptathlon in 2026.
