PITTSBURG - A pair of Pittsburg State University freshman javelin throwers are set to compete at the USA Track & Field Under-20 Outdoor Championships this week at historic Hayward Field in Eugene, Ore.

Alycia Cosens and Madi Olds will be part of a 13-competitor field in the women's javelin throw on Thursday (June 18). After their first season in the Pitt State program, Cosens ranks second in school history with a personal best mark of 49.67m (162' 11") to win the UCM Invitational (Mar. 20) with Olds season-best throw of 47.12m (154' 7"), good for sixth among program ranks coming at the Arkansas Spring Invitational (Apr. 11).
