Biography


General: Third-year player… a promising safety prospect who continues to improve with experience… enjoyed a solid spring camp… will look to battle for more substantial playing time for the Gorillas this fall.

In 2014-15: Saw action in two games in a reserve role in 2015, after redshirting in his initial season in the Pitt State program (2014).

In High School: An honorable mention Kansas Class 2A All-State selection as a senior at St. Mary’s-Colgan High School in 2013… also a two-time All-CNC League performer (2012-13)… helped the Panthers to a 17-7 record and a pair of regional titles his final two prep seasons… rushed for a combined 1,100 yards and 21 TDs and made 132 tackles with seven interceptions in 2012-13.

Personal: August 18, 1995… son of Darren and Bridhid Dawson… a two-year member of the MIAA Academic Honor Roll and an MIAA Academic Excellence honoree… has a perfect 4.00 GPA a plastics engineering technology major.
