Pittsburg State Gorillas

General: Third-year player… a versatile athlete who enters his second year in the secondary for the Gorillas after initially playing wide receiver… expected to contend for significant action for Pitt State this fall.

In 2011: Saw action in six games… made 10 tackles (six solo) with 1.0 tackle-for-loss on the year… made a season-high four tackles vs. Lincoln (Oct. 15).

In 2010: Saw action in four games in a reserve role at wide receiver before suffering a season-ending injury… caught six passes for 64 yards (10.7 ypr) and one touchdown… had three catches for 42-yards and a score vs. Central Missouri (Sept. 18).

At Drake: Redshirted in his only season at Drake University (2009).

In High School: A two-time All-Sunflower League performer at Lawrence High… also competed in basketball for the Lions, helping the team to a Class 6A state title.

Personal: Born October 29, 1989… son of Chuck Vinoverski and Lori Carson… a communication major.
