2012 Biography

General: Fifth-year player… a talented athlete who is primed for a breakout season this fall… expected to contend for a starting role at linebacker for the Gorillas.

In 2011: Saw action in all 14 games, including two starts in the NCAA-II playoffs… made 25 tackles (11 solo) on the season, including a season-best seven stops in the NCAA-II semifinals vs. Delta State (Dec. 10)… also returned a blocked punt 29 yards for a TD vs. Lincoln (Oct. 15).

In 2010: Saw action in all 12 games in a reserve role and on PSU’s special teams units… recorded one tackle with 0.5 TFL.

In 2008-09: Exercised a medical redshirt in 2009 due to an arm injury… redshirted in 2008 after suffering a foot injury during fall camp.

In High School: A first-team Kansas Class 2A All-State performer as a senior at Smith Center High School in 2007… a three-time All-State selection, earning honorable mention honors in 2005-06… helped the Redmen to four consecutive undefeated Class 2A state titles (2004-07)).

Personal: Born February 24, 1989… son of John and Tammy Windscheffel… a four-year member of the MIAA Academic Honor Roll... has a 3.44 GPA as a chemistry major
