KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- Pittsburg State University junior sprinter Ilias Garcia has been selected the MIAA Track Athlete of the Week for the second time in as many weeks Tuesday (Feb. 10).

Garcia lowered his NCAA Division II leading time in the 60 meters with his strong showing at the University of Arkansas Wooo Pig Classic Saturday (Feb. 7). The junior from Las Vegas posted a winning time of 6.62 seconds in the meet at Randal Tyson Indoor Track.

Garcia clocked a D2 best 6.63 second time a week ago at the PSU Invitational. He is the new Pitt State record holder in the discipline.
