PITTSBURG - The Pittsburg State University women's golf team is set to begin the fall semester of the 2026-27 season at the Regional Preview in Blue Springs, Mo., at the Adams Pointe Golf Club on Tuesday (Sept. 8).

Picked to finish 10th in the MIAA Preseason Poll (Sept. 3), Pitt State in the second season as a program return five from the inaugural season and three freshman to round of the squad. Kylee Hopper is the leading returner after claiming All-MIAA honors in 2025-26.

Participants for the Gorillas will be Charlotte Kerbs, Elise Eckert, Kymbree Larance, Abby Ervin and Mary Bina.

Kerbs played in nine tournaments last school year, finishing with an 85.1 average round score in 23 rounds of play. Recorded a 42nd place finish at the MIAA Championship (Apr. 20-22) where she went +35 (245) over three rounds.

Eckert is a freshman from Emporia, Kan., who finished as a three-time first-team All-State and All-League performer between Seaman and Emporia High Schools. As a senior at SHS was named the UKC Player of the Year and helped the team claim UKC and Topeka City championships.

Larance played in 11 tournament for the Gorillas in 2025-26, finishing with an 81.6 average round score in 27 rounds. At the MIAA Championships (Apr. 20-22) finished 34th with a +32 (242) showing.

Ervin appeared in 11 tournaments last season with an average round score of 83.4 in 27 rounds of play. Finished 24th at the Arkansas Collegiate (Mar. 9-10) at +16 (160) over two rounds.

Bina is a freshman fro Wichita, Kan., where she prepped at Bishop Carroll High School. An All-State and All-Metro performer at BCHS, averaged 77 per round and recorded a low round of 74 during her prep career.

Individuals will begin play at 8:30 a.m. (CT) with the Gorillas starting on hole 10.
