BLUE SPRINGS, Mo. - The Pittsburg State University women's golf team completed the first day of the Regional Preview at the Adams Pointe Golf Club on Tuesday (Sept. 8) in a tie for fourth as a team.

Pitt State as a team finished +20 to be tied with Arkansas - Monticello and Augustana (S.D.) while trailing Nebraska - Kearney (+2), Arkansas - Fort Smith (+10) and Missouri Southern (+14).

Elise Eckert (T-13th) leads the team at +3 (75) over the first 18-holes of action. Abby Ervin (T-29th) and Kymbree Larance (T-29th) each finished the opening round of play at +5 (77). Charlotte Kerbs (T-48th, +7) and Mary Bina (T-62nd, +10) round out the performers for the Gorillas today.

Payton Drefke from AU and Liz Lyons of UNK are tied for the individual lead and are the only participants to be under par so far at -1.

The Gorillas will be back in action on Wednesday (Sept. 9) to complete the opening tournament of the 2026-27 school year.
