Pittsburg State Gorillas

General: Fifth-year player … established himself as the Gorillas’ primary long snapper as a redshirt freshman in 2008 … has maintained those duties the past three seasons … figures to handle the chores again this fall.

In 2010: Appeared in all 12 games for Pitt State as the long snapper … also recorded one tackle on special teams.

In 2009: Performed long snapping duties in all 11 games for the Gorillas … also recorded three tackles (two solo) on special teams.

In 2008: Saw action in all 13 games for the Gorillas, handling the squad's long snapping chores … also recorded one assisted tackle.

In 2007: Redshirt season.

In High School: A first-team All-Tri County selection at defensive end as a senior at Louisburg High School in 2006 … also a second-team All-Tri County wide receiver that year … helped the Wildcats to a 10-2 record and a trip to the Class 4A state semifinals.

Personal: Born November 7, 1988 … son of Jeff and Connie Ewy … a three-year member of the MIAA Academic Honor Roll … has a 3.34 GPA as a biology major.
