Pittsburg State Gorillas

General: Fifth-year player … a talented wide receiver who has matured into a frontline performer for the Gorillas … expected to contend for a starting role for Pitt State again this fall.

In 2010: Saw action in all 12 games, including 10 starts … 25 passes for 249 and one touchdown … had a season best five catches for 70 yards (14 ypr) and his first collegiate touchdown against Missouri Western (Sept. 25).

In 2009: Saw action in seven games in a reserve role … caught one pass for 14 yards on the season.

In 2007-08: Saw limited action in 2008, after redshirting in his initial season in the Pitt State program (2007).

In High School: A first-team Kansas Class 2A All-State selection as a defensive back as a senior at Garden Plain High School in 2006 … also earned honorable mention Class 2A All-State honors at quarterback his senior season … passed for more than 1,200 yards and 20 TDs … also logged six interceptions on defense … helped the Owls to a 12-2 record and the 2A state runner-up finish … a 2007 Kansas Shrine Bowl participant.

Personal: Born July 21, 1988 … son of Joe and Stacey Fisher … a three-year member of the MIAA Academic Honor Roll … has a 3.30 GPA as a biology (pre-physical therapy) major.
