Pittsburg State Gorillas

General: Fourth-year player … a talented interior lineman for the Gorillas … primed for a big senior season … expected to contend for a starting role for the Gorillas again this fall.

In 2010: Started all 12 games on the defensive line for the Gorillas … registered 23 tackles (10 solo) including 1.5 TFLs on the season…. recorded a season-high four tackles against Missouri Southern (Oct. 2).

In 2009: Saw action in all 11 games with one start … recorded nine tackles with 0.5 TFL.

In 2008: Saw action in six games in a reserve role, before being sidelined with injury for the final seven contests … recorded four assisted tackles with 1.0 TFL and 0.5 QB sack on the season.

In Junior College: Redshirted in his only season at Hutchinson CC (2007).

In High School: A standout performer at Norcross High School … recorded 80 tackles with 3.0 QB sacks and two fumble recoveries as a senior in 2006 … logged 84 tackles and 5.0 QB sacks as a junior in 2005 … helped NHS to a pair of league titles while reaching the third round of the state playoffs both seasons.

Personal: Born September 19, 1988 … son of Walter and Thelma Jones … a management major.
