Biography

General:  First-year player… transferred to Pitt State in January from Diablo Valley College … a talented safety who adjusted well to the Gorillas' schemes during spring drills … expected to be an impact player for the Gorillas this fall.

In Junior College:  Spent two seasons at Diablo Valley College … a two-year starter in the secondary for the Vikings … recorded 41 tackles with 5.5 TFLs, an interception and six pass breakups as a sophomore in 2009 … also forced a fumble and recovered four fumbles … made 57 tackles with three interceptions and two pass breakups as a freshman in 2008.

In High School:  A stand-out prep performer at Venice High … a four-year starter for the Gondos … logged 72 tackles with two INTs and nine PBUs as a senior in 2007 … made 92 tackles with five INTs and five PBUs as a junior in 2006.

Personal:  Born August 14, 1990 … son of Sarah McKenzie … a communication major.
