Summary

Biography

General: Fourth-year player… a hard working safety who continues to improve with experience… expected to battle for increased playing time for the Gorillas this fall.

In 2016-18: Saw action in six games in 2018… made six tackles (four solo) and a fumble recovery on the season… saw action in three games in 2017, after redshirting in his initial season in the program (2016).

In High School: A two-time Missouri Class 5A All-State performer at Carthage High School (2014-15)… earned All-State honors as a defensive back as a junior in 2014, before earning All-State honors at quarterback as a senior in 2015… helped the Tigers to an 11-2 record and the Class 5A state semifinals.

Personal: Born July 13, 1997… son of Dean and Rhonda Derryberry… a two-year member of the MIAA Academic Honor Roll… has a 3.03 GPA as a management major.
