Biography

General: Fifth-year player… a talented linebacker is seeking to bounce back from an injury that shorted his 2018 campaign… expected to battle for playing time for the Gorillas again this fall.

In 2017-18: Saw action in eight games in 2018… posted four tackles (one solo)… in all 12 games in 2017… made 11 tackles (eight solo) with 1.0 tackles-for-loss on the season.

In 2015-16: Saw action in 10 games in a reserve role and on PSU’s special teams units in 2016… made 10 tackles (four solo) on the season… logged a season-high four stops vs. WU (Oct. 1)… redshirted in his initial season in the Pitt State program (2016).

In High School: A three-time Kansas Class 3A All-State performer at Humboldt High School (2012-14)… also a three-time All-Tri-Valley League selection (2012-14)… recorded 133 tackles as a senior for the Cubs… finished his prep career with 470 tackles.

Personal: Born March 28, 1997… son of Jay and Kristin Carpenter… a four-year member of the MIAA Academic Honor Roll… has a 3.70 GPA as a justice studies major.
