Pittsburg State Gorillas

General: Second-year player… a talented running back who made an immediate impact in 2019 after transferring from Eastern Arizona Community College… will look to be an impact performer for the Gorillas again this fall.

In 2019: Saw action in eight games… carried the ball 45 times for 175 yards (3.9 ypc) and two touchdowns on the season… carried the ball 12 times for 43 yards and a TD in the season opener vs. UCO (Sept. 5).

In Junior College: Spent two seasons at Eastern Arizona… earned All-Conference and All-Region honors as a sophomore in 2018, rushing 146 times for 890 yards… helped the Gila Monsters to a 9-3 record and a conference title… also a second-team All-Conference pick in 2017, rushing 122 times for 744 yards… named Offensive MVP of the Salt City Bowl in 2017.

In High School: An All-Conference performer at Auburndale High School… eclipsed 900 rushing yards as a sophomore and again during his senior campaign… a two-time Florida Class 6A state champion in the 200 meters in track & field.

Personal: Born July 13, 1995… son of Wilbur, Sr., and Pamela Cooper… a member of the MIAA Academic Honor Roll… has a 3.00 GPA as a recreation service, sport and hospitality management major.
