Pittsburg State Gorillas

General: Second-year player… emerged as one of the premier kickers in NCAA Division II in 2021… a returning All-America selection who will be expected to be an impact performer for the Gorillas again this fall.

In 2021: Saw action in nine games… converted 18 of 23 (.783) field goals and all 22 PAT tries on the season… led NCAA Division II in field goals per game (2.0 pg) and ranked third nationally in kick scoring (8.4 ppg)… twice tied the Pitt State single game record by booting four field goals vs NWMSU (Oct. 9) and UCO (Oct. 30)… named MIAA Special Teams Player of the Week after converting four field goals against the Bronchos… a perfect 3-for-3 on 50-yard FG attempts on the year, including a season best 54 yarder vs. UCO… earned first-team All-MIAA and honorable mention All-America accolades.

At Memphis: Spent two seasons at the University of Memphis… redshirted in 2019.

In High School: An All-Conference and All-Area performer at Waubonsie Valley High School… converted 26 of 26 PATs and nine of 12 field goals as a senior in 2018… helped the Warriors to Illinois Class 8A state playoff appearances in 2016 (6-5 record) and 2018 (7-4).

Personal: Born June 1, 2001… son of Ronald and Michelle Holmes… a member of the MIAA Academic Honor Roll… has a 3.31 GPA as a mechanical engineering technology major.
