Pittsburg State Gorillas

General: Second-year player… a hard working linebacker who will look to battle for playing time for the Gorillas again this fall. 

In 2021: Saw action in nine games… made six tackles (three solo) on the season.

In Junior College: Spent one semester at Butler C.C. but did not use any eligibility… signed with the University of Kansas out of high school.

At KU: Spent one year at Kansas... redshirted during the 2019 season.

In High School: A two-time All-State performer at Pittsburg High School… earned Class 5A All-State honors as a junior in 2017 and Class 4A All-State accolades as a senior in 2018… made 213 tackles and eight interceptions over his final two prep years.

Personal: Born February 3, 2001… son of Stacy Butcher and Shelly Basgall… a member of the MIAA Academic Honor Roll… has a 3.00 GPA as a recreation services, sports and hospitality management major.
