Biography

General: Fourth-year player… a promising wide receiver who continues to improve with experience… will look to battle for more significant playing time for the Gorillas this fall.

In 2019-21: Saw action in three games in 2021… did not see any action in 2020 after redshirting in his initial season in the Pitt State program (2019).

In High School: An Oklahoma Class 4A All-Star selection as a senior at Bristow High School in 2018… the Class 4A-District 3 Quarterback of the Year… passed for 736 yards and eight touchdowns and rushed for 734 yards and 15 scores… rushed for 1,236 yards and 18 TDs and passed for 634 yards and eight TDs as a junior for the Pirates.

Personal: Born March 6, 2000… son of Mike and Cindy Wayland… a member of the MIAA Academic Honor Roll and an MIAA Academic Excellence Award recipient in 2019… has a 3.68 GPA as an architectural manufacturing management major.
